#Agrifood21 announces the 2nd edition of the SMART AGRIFOOD SUMMIT’S TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AWARDS, which aims to recognise talent and innovation in the agrifood sector, the rural sector and all the related and additional industries.

The call for candidates for these awards is subject to the following rules:

The primary aim of the SMART AGRIFOOD SUMMIT’S TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AWARDS is to reward the best equipment, prototypes and applications presented in terms of innovation, as per the following categories:

  • FOODTECH – technologies applied to the development of new foods and their availability to the public, both in the catering (i.e. the hotel/restaurant/café industries) and distribution sectors.
  • SMART FARMING – technologies applied to food production (agriculture, the cattle industry and fish farming) and forestry production.
  • AGRI CONNECT – technologies that guarantee food safety.
  • SAFETY FARMING – technologies applied to safety in agricultural, fish farming and forestry practices.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL CARE – technologies applied to sustainable models.

  • The 2nd edition of SMART AGRIFOOD SUMMIT’S TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AWARDS will give an award to the winner of each category. This distribution may be modified according to the number of candidates per category.
  • Both exhibiting and non-exhibiting companies and organisations may participate in the event. If a candidate does not have space in the exhibition area, they will submit their application indicating their space requirements on the form, and if they are selected, which they will be notified of by 8 September by email, they will be given a space to present their solution in the Demonstration Area.
  • The candidates chosen to exhibit in the Demo Area shall be exempt from paying the cost of the space intended for their product. All of the additional services described must be contracted and paid for in accordance with the event’s official pricing schedule.
  • All the companies chosen to participate in these awards must accept the FYCMA’s Regulations for Participation in Trade Fairs and Events, of which they will be notified together with the selection email.
  • The candidates who have been declared winners by the jury’s verdict shall be presented at the closing of the Smart Agrifood Summit event and will be communicated via the website, APP and social media once the awards ceremony has been held on October 1st. A notification via these means will also be sent to the prize winners.
